Childcare & early education

BLS CPR certification without losing classroom coverage

Ratios don't bend. Group Training lets early childhood staff complete coursework on their own time, redeem access codes at any location and gives directors portal visibility. The on-site CPR Go Kit option checks off one teacher at a time so rooms stay covered.

Why this is harder for childcare than for anyone else

Every employer says training is hard to schedule. For childcare it's a legal constraint, not an inconvenience. Pull two teachers out for a full-day class and you are either out of ratio or paying substitutes to sit in a classroom all day.

That's why certifications in this sector so often lapse right up until a licensing visit forces the issue.

Blended learning changes the math. Coursework is done individually, off the floor — at home, during nap, on a day off. The in-person portion is a individual skills check that takes minutes, not hours, so a teacher steps out, gets checked off, and is back in the room before ratio is affected.

What the requirement usually looks like

Staff complete the coursework on their own schedule.

Official AHA-aligned modules, done between shifts rather than in a booked-out training day.

The CPR Go Kit stays at your facility for several days.

The automated station is available on site during the scheduled visit, with adult and infant manikins and live compression feedback.

03

Each person completes an individual 20–30 minute hands-on check-off.

They choose a time that fits their shift, complete the check-off, and then go back to work.

Each person receives a nationally recognized AHA eCard.

Issued individually and verifiable, with a roster of who is current and renewal reminders for what is coming due.

Childcare requirements vary by state and program. BLS Provider includes adult, child and infant CPR, AED use and choking relief, but CPR Certification Labs does not currently provide pediatric first-aid training. If your licensing rules require both, arrange the first-aid portion separately.

BLS Provider eCards are valid for two years. Your state licensing agency is the authority on which staff need CPR certification, whether BLS is accepted, how often training must be renewed and whether separate pediatric first-aid training is required.

The kit stays in a staff room or empty classroom for several days based on headcount while teachers complete individual 20–30 minute check-offs without taking rooms out of ratio.

Bulk license packs and on-site CPR Go Kit seats are separate purchases with their own pricing. Bulk license packs are priced as low as $89 per person, and individual on-site CPR Go Kit check-offs are priced as low as $99 per person with a 10-person minimum. Infant CPR is not a footnote

A dedicated infant manikin.

The CPR Go Kit includes an infant manikin alongside the adult one, so staff practice on equipment sized for it.

Infant choking relief.

Practiced hands-on, not described as a smaller version of the adult technique.

The part generic classes skip.

For a center serving infants and toddlers, this is the training that matters most.

Documented per person.

Individually issued AHA eCards with clear issue and expiration dates for your personnel files.

How centers and multi-site operators buy

Bulk license packs. Buy a bulk license pack sized to your staff plus expected turnover, then assign licenses as people are hired or come due.

Bulk license packs are redeemable at any CPR Certification Labs location, which is how multi-center operators and franchise groups usually run it — one purchase, drawn down across every site.
