The calendar is the constraint

Schools don't have a flexible training window. They have in-service days, pre-season, and a narrow band in August. Everything else is instructional time nobody will give up.

That is exactly the pattern blended learning fits. Staff complete the coursework on their own time — over the summer, during a planning period, at home. For on-site delivery, the CPR Go Kit stays for several days based on headcount while staff complete individual 20–30 minute check-offs around in-service, pre-season or professional development schedules.

Who districts and campuses usually certify

Staff complete the coursework on their own schedule.

Official AHA-aligned modules, done between shifts rather than in a booked-out training day.

In K–12: coaches and athletic staff — often the highest priority, and frequently required before a season — plus school nurses and health aides, PE teachers, classroom teachers and paraprofessionals, bus drivers and transportation staff, front office, custodial and food service, and before- and after-care staff.

In higher education: campus recreation and intramural staff, residence life, RAs and housing staff, lab and shop supervisors, campus event and facilities staff, and athletics support staff.

Two ways to buy Group Training

Bulk License Packs Across Schools

Buy a bulk license pack, send access codes and use licenses as needed at any location across buildings and seasons — coaches in August, faculty at in-service, new hires as they arrive.

On-site CPR Go Kit across in-service days

The kit stays in a multipurpose room for several days based on headcount while staff complete individual 20–30 minute check-offs around in-service activities.

Bulk license packs and on-site CPR Go Kit seats are separate purchases with their own pricing. Bulk license packs are priced as low as $89 per person, and individual on-site CPR Go Kit check-offs are priced as low as $99 per person with a 10-person minimum. Coverage across buildings.

Most districts have AEDs; far fewer have trained staff spread across enough buildings that someone confident is always within reach of one.

A plan that is rehearsed.

Certification strengthens the emergency action plan you already have on paper — and in athletics, a rehearsed plan with trained staff is the part that matters most.

Individually issued eCards.

Verifiable AHA eCards with clear issue and expiration dates for every staff member.

Right level per role.

BLS Provider for CPR and AED certification, with ACLS or PALS added for clinical roles that require them.

How districts buy

Bulk license packs are the usual structure. A district buys a bulk license pack, then uses licenses as needed: coaches before fall sports, the rest of the faculty at the August in-service, new hires as they arrive in October.

Bulk license packs are redeemable at any CPR Certification Labs location, so a district with a dozen buildings buys once rather than negotiating per school.

Requirements vary by state, district policy and role, and are often strictest for coaches, nurses and athletic staff. Many districts certify broadly regardless of the minimum, because AED coverage across buildings depends on it. Check your state and district requirements.
